Climate policy is killing German car industry – and invites China to take over

Political goalposts regarding, among other things, emissions have undermined the German car industry, and the political favouring of electric vehicles has not made the European EV market more accessible to offset. On the contrary, the continued emphasis on phasing out fossil fuels is just inviting Chinese EV brands to take over the European market, says Jan Burdinski, managing partner of Berlin Kommunikations UG.
