Free speech prevails in Brussels, after a local mayor tried to ban the Nat Con conference

Riks Europe’s team discusses events in Brussels this week, where a local Mayor imposed a ban on the Nat Con conference, which involved speech by Nigel Farage, Hungarian PM Orban and former UK interior minister Suella Braverman. After the coureagous Tunesian owner of the event premises, who refused to back down to political pressure, and following international pressure from both UK PM Sunak and Italian PM Meloni as well as support from Belgium’s PM, Belgium’s top administrative court overruled the local mayor.
