French cities erupt in immigrant riots – perpetrators go unpunished

France has a demographic problem which manifests itself in violent mass riots whenever there is an occasion for a public celebration or protest. One contributing factor that makes France a site for these events, unparalleled in Europe by their frequency, is the justice system’s reluctance to punish migrants for their crimes, says Pierre-Marie Seve, director of the Institute for Justice.
