Trump presidency will force Europe to be able to compete again

The EU risks doubling down on its current destructive path in the wake of Donald Trump’s accession. This will leave the US in a remarkably better state than Europe in four years, says Andreas Hellmann, tax and regulatory policy director at the Americans For Tax Reform think tank and the Tholos Foundation. He is also optimistic that Donald Trump’s threats of tariffs are a negotiation tactic, and that no serious disruption of international trade is to be expected.
